Springtime Sonata, or Something Like That

I’m a little groggy this morning, the rain and gray weather is affecting me. At 5 foot nothing, a lot of people would say I’m a little anything. I proudly announce my diminutive stature, because I realize at this point, there’s no reason to do anything else.

Anyway, I digress. This is a blog about art, so here’s the latest drawing, finally completed.

The title is “Springtime Sonata”, because a gallery director told me that I was using boring titles. I must admit I used to be more creative, and slacked off. So back on the horse…or pony in my instance.

This for instance I named “Winter Sky”, but she had me change the name to “Breaking Through”.

Well, enough of winter, please!

My next drawing was going to be a close of drawing of violets and dandelions in the grass. I went outside to the front yard, and found plenty of violets, but only burnt spaces in the grass where the dandelions were growing. I really like dandelion, so I was so disappointed. What a time for the condo association to really accomplish something!

Instead of the violet/dandelion drawing, I’m going back to something that I thought was a great idea, but didn’t turn out so well. So, here’s the drawing I’m going to redo:

So, I’m going to try it again. Who knows, maybe second time lucky.
