When I was a teenager, another student asked me, “Why do you always draw trees?”

I like trees, and I still do. Not to mention, there are a lot of them

So,shoot me. I may draw the same subject over and over. If that’s good enough for Monet, it should be good enough for me.

When I was living in Queens, most of my drawing subjects came from my own block.

So,don’t be under the impression that there’s nothing inspiring out there.

Do like Picasso, and so many of the masters.

Do the same subject matter over and over again.

You don’t have to travel far…

I never did get around to the man with the parrot on his shoulder, though.
