Somewhere, deep in the Midwest, a man (or a woman) is driving a brown truck to a small town destination in Iowa. When the package he or she delivers, finally gets to this house in this is isolated area, presumably Friday, I will unveil my last drawing. In the meantime, I’m just trucking along.
Some of you may remember this past summer I came up with this, also featured in my failures of 2014 post.
Completely missed what my intention was….some colorful female alien wrestling with a shadow in a bow-tie was far from what I had in mind. I was going through a kind of rough relationship time, and I think it shows.
But I still am intrigued by the idea of a dancing couple. My thought is a relationship is a dance, always moving, always give and take. Or to paraphrase Woody Allen, you’ve got a dead shark.
Anyway, part of the problem with the above sketch is that I did the figures from my imagination. Didn’t do too bad a job, thanks to drawing so many naked people in art school. However it just wasn’t hitting what I wanted. So, I took a pic from the internet, to be changed greatly, so as not to violate copyright.
Argh, couldn’t find it…must be on the other computer. So, I give you this.
And so, I keep working on the sketch. It’s shaping up to be a blast from the past!
