I didn’t make much money at the Artisan Market in Soho.  I was kind of stuck downstairs in a corner.  I did get some good exposure, but not enough to justify the expense.  Anyway, back to the street idea.

Petition to Revoke Restrictions on Street Artists and Performers in NYC.

Mayor Bloomberg put all kind of restrictions on where artists could legally set up…..and in a way, I understand that.  When you see three vendors in an area selling the same photo of Justin Beiber, that really shouldn’t come under the cover of freedom of speech.  Maybe that’s a necessary evil.   Hopefully, Bill De Blasio will make it easier for real artists.
