I’m working on “C’est Mardi Gras”, although that fine day has gone and passed.  Of course, though, I decided to do something repeattitive once again, almost as bad as the snowflakes in the last one.   I decided to encircle the main drawing with a tromp d’oeuil of beads.  Of course, I’m drawing the same beads over and over and over and….

At one point, I got so disgusted I almost gave it up.  But I got back to it…..

Here’s where it stands.  The lightly sketched in figure is actually a self-portrait of me, shall we say ten years ago? 😉

 

And of course, I’m up in the middle of the night.   Anyone who has followed this blog knows my two favorite musical artists are Paul Simon and Sting.  Tonight I actually get to see them in concert.  I’m so excited I can’t sleep.  I’ll probably be a zombie by the time of the concert.

So, here I am, in the middle of the night, with no one to keep me company except my friend in Thailand via Whatsapp.  Thanks, James.
