I’ve started work on the chair.  To start with, I’ve done a graphite sketch because I wanted to see how to draw the strong sunlight coming in through the window.  The back is a little wonky, but it gives the idea.

 

Part of the problem is that I really can’t see, from the photo I’m working from, the corner of the chair.  You see, my boyfriend is a former DJ, and a packrat.  In the photo I took, there are piled boxes of electronic equipment.

 

Another challenge is, once I’ve drawn the chair, then what?  How do I make it into an interesting drawing that implies a paradise?  I’m turning ideas over in my mind.
