So can I
At what age does an artist give up on making a steady income from art? I know I’ve heard of some women working into their 90’s. I think I read about a woman who finally was discovered when she was 92, but died two years later. So, I’ll just keep at it. After all, what else is there to do?
But that’s besides the point. I’m here to talk about my latest drawing.

This is called “Molten Java at Dusk”. It’s actually the top of a Victorian house where the coffee shop, Molten Java, is housed. I don’t go to Molten Java a lot, it’s a bit of a trip for me. When I do go, I really like it.
For a while now, I’ve been fascinated by reflections on windows. As for “at dusk”, I chose that because it comes full circle of a drawing I did a long time ago, titled “House at Sunrise.

A good friend of mine calls this the “Psycho House”.
I just looked it up. Grandma Moses started painting at 78. That’s still a stretch off for me, so I have hope.
See you next Sunday!
