I bet you thought I’d gone into the Cloud, got lost, and never came back. Actually, although I’ve been here, thinking. Not doing art, but thinking about doing art.

Well, I did do this:

Truth is, I’ve become just very bored with the work I had been doing. The interpretive landscapes are what I mean in particular. It seemed I’d wrung the last drops of ideas out.

So, I wondered what to do next.

Finally, I remembered a young man at a job I once had as an assistant manager of an art supply store. The man was amazingly skilled and his still lifes were photorealistic. He managed to mix together so many elements in his art, and I never forgot him.

It came to mind that an artist can use still life subjects together, and make a story with them….

Then I was off and running!
